Google I/O 2025

Google is ready to begin its landmark annual developer conference, Google I/O 2025. Expecting to draw technology enthusiasts and professionals worldwide, Google will live stream the event with the keynote at 10:30 PM IST. As anticipated, the company will likely reveal new enhancements in AI, software, and development tools.

The conference spans roughly two days, and as always, viewers worldwide can tune into the official Google YouTube channel or the Google I/O site. For better comprehensiveness, an ASL feed will also be provided.

This will be Google’s first appearance tackling AI issues, and we expect Google to update its Gemini Ultra AI model, which powers several applications ranging from chatbots to enterprise features. There has also been a lot of guesswork regarding a new subscription tier for Gemini, proposing that Google will compete more directly against other industry veterans’ AI services.

As with any event, updates on Android 16, which was previewed at a separate event last week, are bound to spark conversation alongside AI. Attendees should expect to gain insights on promised new features, including improved Bluetooth audio, enhanced accessibility, widgets on lock screens, and overhauled notifications.

Rumours suggest that wearables and smartwatches won’t be the only ones receiving updates; Health tracking and interface design improvements could be showcased alongside futuristic XR (extended reality) projects. Of particular attention to industry watchers is whether or not new XR hardware or software will be announced as Google continues its efforts to compete in the mixed reality market with the rest of the big players.

Off the keynote, a wider array of topics will be offered, such as Google Play, Chrome, the Google Cloud, Gemma – a family of open AI models, and Android, which will revert to the primary focus. At the forefront of these sessions, however, lies the integration of the latest technologies developed by Google.

Rumours suggest that, unlike previous years, new hardware products such as tablets or Pixel phones are expected to be absent from this event, shifting the focus to developer platforms, AI, and software.

At the start of the conference, the entire technology ecosystem will look for any news that could transform AI, mobile operating software, and digital world changes. The Google I/O conference of 2025 seems to be a flagship event for the company and explicitly puts it in a favourable position ahead of the big companies.
